Well, I still strongly believe that an American is not defined by race, ethnic, sexuality, gender, or opinion. One of the reasons I adore this country so much despite all its shortcomings is how diverse it is. I can see faces from all over the world in one place; all sharing America's opportunities. The resources to pursue one's dreams is very valuable to me, and the US does a pretty decent job with stuff like that. That brings me to what I really want to talk about. I think what makes someone an American is their desire for something better in life. Americans aren't idle. They reach for what they want and see much farther than just the next meal. They want the best they can have in life. They are relentless. They are hardworking. Yet, they remain loyal to humanity's principles and value their ideas. They can love. They can care. They are daring and brave and fierce. What made America, America? Immigrants. They came looking for something better, and that was what ultimately made them unite. It's what they are and want on the inside that makes them American.

Have an amazing day :)
