The World Bank is a multinational organization specialized in finance and assistance, its objective is financial and technical assistance for the so-called developing countries. Its stated purpose is to reduce poverty through low-interest loans, interest-free loans at the banking level and economic support to developing nations. It is made up of 189 member countries. It was created in 1944 as part of the Bretton Wood Agreement. It has its headquarters in the city of Washington D.C., United States.
