Pepys Communication writes about the joyful mood in the English Parliament due to King Charles having power again
Samuel Pepys in his Diary which he wrote from 1960 to 1669, gives a first hand view of the principal events happening in England at the time. He did not expect his work on the Diary to be published, so he was free to speak his mind and give real accounts on the events he wrote about.
One of the main events happening during this time was the restoration of the English Monarchy after the decapitation of Charles I. Mr. Pepys was hired by the admiral, who was in charge of bringing Charles I son to England to be the new king. Pepys duties were to be the secretary for the voyage and report to the general.
He was in a very joyful mood because the trip Holland, turned out to be a historic occurrence for England because, the monarchy will be restored. He was very happy about the entire situation and wrote about in his diary. He wanted to communicate his feelings of happiness for what was happening. Later, Charles II became the king on England.
