Ancient vascular plants are plants grouped as tracheophytes which includes ferns, Angiosperm and gymnosperm while non- vascular plants are known to be grouped as bryophytes which includes mosses, horthworth and liverworth. However, the major difference between vascular plants and non-vascular plants  is that vascular plants possess vascular tissues that is pholem and xylem, they use this vascular tissues to transport sugar, water and mineral throughout there bodies while non-vascular plants do not possess this properties.
