Manager in a company has authoritative value towards the employees at the work place. In order to maintain a solid chain of command, only one manager is necessary for each department in the company.

The principle of unity of command states that a subordinate in any level in organization hierarchy must have one and only superior. This principle promotes better relationship amongst employees, avoid conflicts, better coordination and communication, good teamwork and high productivity.  With this dilemma Tomas has into, he should concentrate on the task handed by Carolina.
