Hutchinson was a firm believer in the puritan ethic of hard work as bringing forth an increased chance at everlasting salvation in the afterlife. It was ultimately this ideal that was similar to the broader puritan law, as it focused heavily on the importance of strong work ethic as bringing positive benefits in religious views.
