The relationship between The Crusades and Travels of Marco polo was that both gave people a taste of what life could be like beyond the borders of their country.

  This sparked off a movement where people started to travel to explore other parts of the world.

   One of such long distance travels was undertaken by Marco Polo to China. He arrived in China, where he was greatly welcomed by the emperor of China, and he stayed in the country for 20 years.

  Upon his return, Marco Polo brought back stories and exotic goods and this  made people all the more eager to explore faraway lands.

  The Crusades were a series of religious wars initiated, supported, and sometimes directed by the Latin Church in the medieval period.

   The similarities between the crusades and the travels of Marco Polo was that it made people realize the beauty of life outside their native country
