Our skin contains melanocytes, which produce melanin that protects the cells from sun damage. If darker-skinned people have more melanin does this mean that they do not have to protect their skin from the sun? Explain your answer.

Respuesta :

Yes, dark skin is naturally more protective against harmful rays from the sun than fair skin, but people of all skin types can burn if they don’t wear sunscreen. The burns may not be as harsh or apparent as those with fairer skin types but this does not mean it’s harmless.

hope this helps :))
