Pretend you want to write a novel about a young woman who feels that she is not free to be all that she can be. If you set the novel in 1800s America, what would be different than if it was set in 1960s America? Could the theme be the same in either case? (Counts as 20% of your Lesson grade.)
things were way different between the time periods and there rights were also different. The theme would be way different because America would have been more developed by that time.
