you can go in either order for the translations. i did both. so starting at 3,14 if the translation went up 5 units that means to find the ORIGINAL point you need to go down 5 units because now it is opposite. After going down you get the point (3,5) and now bc the translation went right 4 units you have to go left 4 units. You get the answer (1,5).
if my explaining is complicated i would recommend drawing a graph and doing the translation yourself to help.
