A customer purchased a total of 16 washcloths and towels. Each washcloth costs $10.50 and each towel cost $15.00. The customer spent a total of 226.50. How many washcloths did the customer buy? (pls help me!)

3 washcloths and 13 towels

towels: 13x15= 195
washcloths: 3x10.5= 31.5

195 + 31.5 = $226.50

the customer bought 3 washcloths !
