There has been times when the government shut down apps because of foreign influence. Personally, I do not think shutting down the app is the best place to go. If our country is truly free, then we have every right to use whatever social media apps we choose to use, no matter the risks. I understand that the government has good reasoning and investigating an app is fine. The things that our government will try to do with the information they find turns into the problem. I get the government wants us to stay safe. That's reasonable. But most of the time, the foreign influence isn't a threat. Its just there and the government tries to hide that. That makes me question my freedom. As an American citizen, I should never be questioning my freedom.
