Can you think of two more ways that humans have either positively or negatively impacted a given species and its survival?

What have we done that has increased that species' survival? Decreased?

How could we do better in the future to preserve the diversity of life on Earth?

Respuesta :

Ways of Impact:

Positive Ways: We have the ability to reintroduce a species into the wild which can help aid in reproduction and the ability for the animals to survive in the future. A second positive way would be protecting areas that animals such as a rare type of species lives that way we protect them from potential poachers and habitat destruction. Negative Ways: The first obvious way would be habitat destruction, leaving little to no area for birds or other mammals, especially in the rainforest to live in. Another way we have negatively impacted a given species would be using them for their resources (poaching) such as Sharks for shark-fin soup or Whales for their blubber.

What Have We Done:

Increase Survival: Like I had mentioned before we have reintroduced species into the wild as well as protecting certain areas. Decrease Survival: Habitat destruction and poaching for their pelts or resources in their bodies.

Preservation:

To better preserve the diversity on life certain things such as protecting more areas and turning them into national parks would cause a larger portion of animals to be protection. We should also use our resources better or find other ways to use those resources. For example instead of destroying the trees in the amazon, use recycled paper or other materials to decrease the amount of habitat loss, thus increasing diversity.
