As we know the media plays a huge role and has influence in almost everything in today’s society. The media is often considered as an institution whose role is to deliver information in a way that is fair and does not discriminate.
The
way that media reflects a south african democratic society is often
questionable due to the issues that the media presents and the
way it does it raising serious questions about their role in a
democratic country.
The article 16 of south africa’s bill of right entails that the people and the media have equal rights of expression, but does not extend to promote war, violence, racism or anything that can cause hatred or harm.
I
hope this helps, Regards.
