Mitosis is basically cells dividing themselves to multiply. Say you have a cut on your skin. You put a bandage on it, and a couple days later, the cut is gone. You would just think, "Huh! Band-aids are magical!" but, no. Mitosis did that. Ever look in the mirror and wonder how you went from an infant to where you are today. Mitosis did that. Mitosis is the process of cells using asexual reproduction to multiply into exact replicas of themselves. They use genetic information from the nucleus to make replicas of themselves. Their replicas then go on to that cut as a skin cell. Fun fact: overused mitosis is the cause of cancer.
