Since Thomas Jefferson lived in France and helped them draft their own independence, most people called him a Francophile (Loving or being in love with France). Or stating he wasn’t a true Colonist because he was so wrapped up in their issues. He also proposed neutrality and peace towards the French for helping us in the Revolution and promising we would pay it forword.
