The correct practice to be followed when one is getting followed by an emergency vehicle and the sirens and flashlights can be heard or is visible, one must let such vehicle overtake.

  • If one is being approached by vehicles having sirens or flashlights one must assume that such vehicle is either one of the vehicles like ambulance, fire brigade van, police van, army truck, VIP vehicle.

  • A normal citizen is bound to give such person the side to such vehicle as it is an emergency vehicle and is running on the road to accomplish an emergency task.

Hence, when one is approached by an emergency vehicle using its sirens and flashlights, one must let the vehicle overtake the vehicle to help it reach its destination.
