Hi there!

Righto.  We know that there is a distance of 200km, you traveled at an average speed of 100 km/h, and you traveled [tex]\frac{3}{5}[/tex] of the way at 80 km/h.  Let us put this into the equation [tex]\frac{80*3+2x}{5}=100[/tex].  You traveled at 80 km/h for [tex]\frac{3}{5}[/tex] of the way and that is therefore 80*3.  First, we can start by multiply both sides by 5 to get [tex]80*3+2x=500[/tex].  After subtracting 240 from both sides(80*3=240), we get [tex]2x=260[/tex], which equals [tex]x=130[/tex].  Therefore, you traveled at 130 km/h for the each of the last [tex]\frac{2}{5}[/tex] of the trip.
