Three Friends all have ages that are consecutive integers. The sum of their ages is 48. What is the age of the oldest friend?

the oldest friend is 17 years old. 15+16+17. 5+6=11+7=18. 18+10+10+10= 48. get my level B) jk

"The sum of their ages is 48" means x + (x + 1) + (x + 2) = 48 

x + x + 1 + x + 2 = 48 

x + x + x + 1 + 2 = 48 

3x + 3 = 48 

3x = 48 - 3 

3x = 45 

x = 45/3 = 15 

So if the youngest is 15 (x = 15), then the oldest is x + 2 or 15 + 2 = 17
