Number of tuna cans in 1 crate = 8

Number of pasta bags in 1 bin = 4

Number of oatmeal boxes in 1 carton = 6

As the food will be provided to 24 families, each hamper will have three cans of tuna, one bag of pasta, and two boxes of oatmeal.

1 family needs = 3 cans of tuna

24 families will need = [tex]24\times3=72[/tex] cans.

8 cans are in = 1 crate

72 cans will be = [tex]\frac{72}{8}=9[/tex] crates

1 family needs pasta = 1

24 families will need = 24 bags

4 pasta bags in = 1 bin

24 pasta bags in = [tex]\frac{24}{4}=6[/tex] bins

1 family needs oatmeal = 2 boxes
