My work: To easily achieve this problem you have to take the number 9 and add it with 7. You would this instead of subtracting, because whenever there is two negatives next to each other or in parentheses next to one it turns into addition. When you add 9 with 7 you get your answer 16. This problem can be easily achieved in 2 steps.
My Numerical work:
1. 9 - (-7)
2. 9 + 7
3. 16
