"In a pure substance all the particles must be identical; therefore pure substances are composed only of elements." do you agree or disagree with this statement? why?

I disagree with this statement because it's quite the opposite. 

Pure substances are substances that contain only one kind of atom, and elements are pure substances, but not all pure substances are elements.
