During this time many of them married and they put their
families first before their duties and this led to their decline as an army and
it also led to the decline of the Empire. This was seen during their defeat in
Poland. Sultan Osman II attempted to
disband but he was captured and imprisoned in the Seven Towers where he was
later killed.
