nations what they want to avoid conflict.
The best example of this was during Germany’s conquest of Europe. In the hopes to prevent a war, Britain and
France had allowed the Germans to take Sudentenland from Czechoslovakia. Despite acquiring Czech territory the Germans
continued with their campaign which led to World War II.
