Chemical weathering is the type of weathering in which rocks and minerals break down into smaller pieces. The correct option among all the options given in the question is option "d". Weathering can be of two types and they are physical and chemical weathering. Sometimes with these type of weathering a biological phenomenon can get added. 

Sorry I just took this test and for some reason I got (It's the type of weathering in which rocks and minerals break down into smaller pieces.) wrong. I just want to let y'all know. I wasn't answering this question just merely stating that answer is wrong.
