Trapezoid QRST has two right angles. A 5in. altitude can be drawn dividing QRST into a rectangle and an isosceles right triangle. The longer side of the rectangle measures 9 in. What is the area of the trapezoid?

if it is isosceles right triangle then , one side of this triangle is the altitude,and another also equals 5 in.

9-5=4 in is the short base,
so A (trapezoid) =(1/2) (9+4)*5=65/2=32.5 in ^2
