3x + 4x= 154
7x= 154
divide both sides by 7
x= 22

STEP 2:
find games won
=3x
=3(22)
=66 games won

STEP 3:
find games lost
=4x

=88 games lost

CHECK:
66 + 88= 154
154= 154

ANSWER: 66 games were won; 88 games were lost
