Hello!
You solve this algebraically
-3 = 7(y - 9/7)
You distribute the 7
-3 = 7y -9
Add 9 to both sides
6 = 7y
Divide both sides by 7
y = [tex] \frac{6}{7} [/tex]
Hope this helps!
