A) you just have to factorise so find 2 numbers which add to give 4 and multiply to give -32. The 2 numbers are - 4 and 8..so now input these into the equation like this:
2x^2+-4x+8x-16
Now split the equation in half and factorise :
2x^2-4
2x(x-2)
Then the other one:
8x-16
8(x-2)
Now take the the numbers inside the bracket and outside the bracket and equal it to 0 then solve:
X-2=0
X=2
Other one:
2x+8=0
X+4=0
X =-4
So the answers are (-4,0) and (2,0)
B) the y intercept is the last part of the equation so it would be (0,-16)
C) once you draw it out you'll see the minimum point is (-1,-18)
D) its a minimum because its like a U shape so its going down
