The anonymous narrator's first person point of view in Jonathan Swift's "A Modest Proposal" helps readers understand the social and political problems of the time (Option A is the correct one). "A Modest Proposal"  is an English satirical essay that is told in the first person point of view from an anonymous narrator since the author was interested in showing the problems that Ireland was facing at that time as well as he ironically stated possible solutions to cope with these problems such as hunger and poverty.  By making use of satire, Jonathan Swift tried to make English people reflect about the way that Irish people were being treated without compassion and empathy.
