The USA involvement in the middle East in the cold war era was informed by the need to counteract Soviet expansion and protect important oil fields. As a result, the USA was involved in a number foreign aggression,coups, battles and assassinations in countries like Iran, and Iraq. Consequently, counter reaction from the Arabic nationality against the USA selfish interests , which involved supporting tyrannical regimes cropped up.
