This is John Adams, not Samuel Adams. John Adams represented the British soldiers during the Boston Massacre trials. He was their lawyer, reasoning that it wasn't exactly their faults that the children were provoking them. He saw things from both sides, making him an okay person, but an incompetent leader if you ask me. Also, he was NOT and never really was a soldier fit for war.
