Why can the moon eclipse the sun on occasion
A.sometimes they line up in a straight line
B.the moon appears about the same size as the sun
C.the moon and sun both have an angular diameter of 1/2 degree
D. When the sun is farthest from the earth it is small enough to be eclipsed
it's A from our perspective, the moon is just a tad smaller than the sun so when it lines up perfectly, it looks as of it's blocked out completely (though if I remember correctly it isn't which is why you're not supposed to look at the sun without the right glasses on)
