India is definitily one of the success stories of post world war independence movement.
the country gained independence from Britain, after a culmination of peaceful political aggression led by Gadhi. Notably, Britain was also weakened by the ww2, and was thus not willing to focus its energies on India.
India has however rose to become a strong economic force, with a high gdp, and a nuclear power as well.
