I think schools SHOULD teach students how to do their taxes because it's an aspect of adulthood they are almost otherwise unprepared for completely. Most school's curriculum is based on 4 core classes and various electives, but life is more than those 4 classes. Taxes, money managements, and management of other areas of life would be tremendously useful and I think there would be an immeasurable difference made in the lives of the students. They would be more prepared for financial obstacles they may face, and they'd more than likely be more successful in their transition in adolescence.

Schools nowadays have no right to teach students how to manage money. They use the principles that the government and Common Core tell them to use, both of which are massive time and money consuming monsters of almost naught. Schools need to stop worrying about money and taxes. What schools have problems with are the federal government and common core. Highschools in the US today are at an alltime low in math and Science, with 13 percent of them not knowing what they should know. This all starts with the Federal Government telling schools that they have to do specific requirement to get funding, such as Common Core.
