If it was just 3^1/2 , that's another way
that's used to write √3 .
You could write 3^3/2 as (3³)^1/2 .
So it's the same thing as √(3³) .
[tex](x)^{\frac{y}{z}} = \sqrt[z]{x^y} \\\\3^{\frac{3}{2}} = \sqrt[2]{3^3} = \sqrt{3^3} = \sqrt{27} = \sqrt{9\times 3} =\boxed{\bf{3 \sqrt{3}}}[/tex]
