The positive effects of feudal Japan can be seen in the
character of the people especially when they keep those traits alive in the present. Adoption of Zen Buddhism, Confucianism and
Bushido which is the code of the samurai made the Japanese a discipline and
tough race. Despite the early clashes of
clans, Japan finally attained political stability during its period of
seclusion. Wars stopped and the country enjoyed years of peace and prosperity. Today many Japanese still carry the ideals of
the samurai such as discipline, honor and loyalty. The effort and energy that the samurai put in
service to their lord can be seen today among workers who work hard to ensure
the success of their company. These
characteristics have a very good effect on the character of the Japanese people
and to this day it shows.
