A farmer can pick 12 cabbages in 1 hour. Working at the
same rate, how long in hours would it take two farmers
to pick 48 cabbages?
(A) 1
(B) 2
(C) 4
(D) 6
(E) 8

Respuesta :

The answer is C because 12 times 4= 48 and the 4 is the 4 HOURS. You welcome c:
The Unit rate would be 12 cabbages per hour. What I would do is take 12 and divide by each answer to see how many hours it would take for the farmer to pick 48 cabbages. So, A would not be correct because that would mean the farmer had 12 cabbages,  and B wouldnt be correct because, It would be 24,        ( 12 x 2= 24 ), C would be 48, so this one is correct. ( 12 x 4 = 48 ) D would be incorrect because it would be 72, ( 12 x 6 = 72 ) and then E would be incorrect because that would be 96 cabbages, ( 12 x 8 = 96 ). So The Correct answer would be (C) 4. Hope this helps! :)
