Answer - Self-fulfilling Prophecy
Generally, teachers have some form of expectations for their students' behavior and academic achievement, and so they oftentimes unknowingly develop instruction and interactions with their students that ensure they will perform as the teachers expect (both behaviorally and academically). This phenomenon is called Self-fulfilling Prophecy; a term coined by the sociologist, Robert K. Merton to describe a prediction that directly or indirectly causes itself to become true.
