Motion. Motion is the process of changing position or the direction of an object or body over time. If the position of a body doesn't change with respect to a given frame of reference, the body is said to be static. At a juncture in time everything is in motion-- objects, bodies, and matter particles because everything moves. In a nutshell motion is the phenomenon or process of continually changing position or moving from one point to another with respect to time.
