Lewis Latimer was a trully brillaint man, although he did not have an easy life in his early years, he always thought of innovation, helping others and surpassing himself.
There are so many adjectives we can use to describe this man, some of them are:
1. Self-taught (Although he had to interrupted his studies and attended only elementary school, he had a great interest in learning and this motivated him to study for himself. Mechanical drawing was one of the things he learned for himself, which led to him to be recognized by his co-workers and his superiors in the patent law office of Crosby and Gould).
2. Inventor (He designed many things, one of them was an electric lamp with a carbon filament).
3. Pioneer (He was part of the group of Thomas Edison, called: "Pioneer of Edison". Latimer also helped with the patent of the telephone and the light bulb).
4. Philanthropist (He always though on helping people around him).
