I believe the answer is D. all the above
In an editorial, a senior editor would provide his/her opinion on a certain topic which is often unsigned.
Since the content is based on their personal analytic/conclusion, it would be very likely that the editor will include why he/she have that opinion (descriptive) and use the language which try to make others agree with his/her opinion (persuasive)
