first thing u need to do is put ur numbers in order....when ur looking for the median, u need to do this.
60,67,68,81,(83,88),88,90,92,92
the median is the middle number
** if u have an odd number of numbers, the middle number is easy to find
** but if u have an even number of numbers, like this problem does, then u will have 2 middle numbers.....find those 2 middle numbers, add them, then divide by 2 and that is ur median.
so ur 2 middle numbers are : 83 and 88......add them and u get 171...divide by 2 and u get 85.5 <== ur median
