The normal oxygenated arteries and deoxygenated veins switches in the pulmonary artery and the pulmonary vein.
These are the only artery/vein combination that will be opposite within the body.
The pulmonary artery will carry DEoxygenated blood from the heart and into the lungs for diffusion/oxygen exchange
The pulmonary vein will carry OXYGENATED blood back to the heart after diffusion in the lungs happen.
