Jefferson noted that the state had the right to question the power of the Federal government. The actual act itself was aimed at radicals where in sympathy with the French Revolution. So you want to get rid of this act.

Adams was a very abrasive kind of guy. People just did not like him although I think he was very well respected. When you do your poster, you might want to stay away from attacking him.

1. People have a right to their opinion. They can scream at the top of their lungs the way they feel about things as long as they do not take up arms to defend those opinions. The act may be depriving people of their first amendment rights. You can speak forcefully, but you must not act forcefully.
Point One: Don't deprive people of their constitutional rights.

2. Debate the rightness of making such a fuss over the policies of a foreign government. Best to tend to your own knitting.
