The world’s endin’, Atticus! Please do something—!’ I dragged him to the window and pointed.

‘No it’s not,’ he said, ‘It’s snowing.’

Jem asked Atticus would it keep up. Jem had never seen snow either, but he knew what it was. Atticus said he didn’t know any more about snow than Jem did. NEED HELP WHAT IS THE HYPERBOLE IN THIS STORY?!?!

Hyperbole: The world's endin'

A hyperbole is an extreme exaggeration used to make a point. Sometime, the exaggeration is so extreme that we know that it is impossible to happen.

In the above phrase, the point is that it is merely snowing, it became exaggerated when Jem said the world is ending.

Next time you have a question on a test or something asking for the hyperbole, it is a statement not meant to be taken literally, or exaggeration
