Character motivation is the reason behind the way a character thinks, feels and acts in a specific situation. In writing a story, it is very important that the author shows or explains the causes of the characters behaviors and attitudes. The backgrounds and trauma experienced by the character are the motivating factors of the characters actions in the story. These experiences are the character's motivation in executing an action or even in the decision-making procedure.
