The condition that should be first in the priority list is the possibility of a tracheobronchial trauma as this condition is in line with the history of laryngeal trauma along with signs of hemoptysis, aphonia, hoarseness, dyspnea, and subcutaneous emphysema. The ABC of trauma care (secure airway, breathing, circulation) must be done. Another differential diagnosis is pneumothorax but this will usually present with difficulty of breathing and hypotension (if tension pneumothorax).
