So when you are stating measurement in physics you need three things.

-unit
-temprature
-significant figure

So in the above measurement you are making all three of these.
The correct statement would be saying the density of gold at ____(temperature) is ______(1.3×10^-3)_______(kg/m^3).

So here you have to mention the temperature because the denote would vary according to temperature and you have to mention the unit.
The standard unit (SI unit) of density is kg/m cubed.

And you also have to correct to significant figures.
