The Balfour Declaration was a letter written by the British government and addressed to Lord Rothschild. It reviewed the intentions of the government to declare a state in the Middle East. The support of Jewish communities in the Middle East led to conflict between Jews and Palestinians, which still goes on today. Almost one million Palestinians had to flee from their homes, and many are still refugees today, being denied citizenship in their own countries.
